Josh Peak, owner, grew up in Winchester, Illinois before moving to Jacksonville, Illinois where he attended Jacksonville High School. Josh comes from an agricultural background where he spent many summers helping on the family farm and raising show pigs. Josh earned the Herman Dieckamp academic scholarship through the Jacksonville Public Schools Foundation to attend the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. In 2017, Josh received a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Farm Management from the University of Illinois. He interned with Hertz Farm Management in 2016 in Monticello, Illinois before accepting a full-time position with Hertz in 2017 with their DeKalb, Illinois office. Josh joined Field Level Agriculture in March of 2021 as Vice President of Farm Management and as a Farmland Broker. He manages more than 10,000 acres across Illinois. He helps each management client achieve their financial and conservation goals for their farmland asset. In 2021, Josh earned his Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. On January 1, 2022, Josh became a co-owner in Field Level Agriculture, Inc. As a licensed farmland broker, he has helped real estate clients sell their farmland as well as acquire new farms. Josh is experienced in selling land via multiple selling methods such as public auction, public listing, and private listing. Josh is a licensed crop insurance agent. He helps insurance clients find the right policy to match their insurance needs. In 2022, Josh helped open Field Level Ag’s Jacksonville office.
